We are looking forward to welcomE  you AT our family-runned  farm, near the river, in the village of Saint Germain de Calberte. The scenery is enchanting and so picturesque: surrounded by Schist Mountains, you could well encounter beavers playing in the nearby stream

Have you ever imagined staying in a Gypsy wagon ? 

Have you ever imagined staying in a wooden gypsy caravan?  Experience the magical feeling of a child’s dream, in a special place. Definitely a  holiday with a difference !   "La petite roulotte dans la prairie" (in the meadow)                                            & "La roulotte adossée à la colline" (at the hillside)

Accommodation consists of a bedroom, a bathroom, and your own patio area. An atmosphere of comfort and ancient charm prevails throughout the caravans. (50 euros per night for 2 persons, breakfast included).

 

THE perchED HUT IN A CHESTNUT TREE  A GUEST-HUT PERCHED IN A CHESTNUT, For a truant escape , 100 % nature , all comfort ( alcove bed, bathroom…), terrace suspended in mid-air of the valley, overhanging the torrent. an  idyllic stay !

 

GUESTROOM "Head in the stars "  in a cute former silkworm house (magnanerie)  spacious room for two to FOUR people with two sleaping places in the mezzanine with view at the amazing starry sky... COMFORTABLY EQUIPPED with mezzanine, a sofa-bed, BATHROOM WITH shower AND toilet, and private vineyard shaded YARD.

As WELL the WOODEN wagons as  the perched hut are located aT a NICE distance from  the farm   so that you can fully enjoy the calm and relaxing sound of nature.

In the evening : you can have your meal, prepared with farm products, at Anne and Stéphane’s table. (Vegetables and berries  from their garden, local delicacies).

  
 A  AGRICULTURAL  VISIT  AND  FARM  PRODUCTS

Agri-cultural visit of the silk worm farm We will take you around the farm to show you the beautiful man-made stone terraces, the mulberry trees plantations, the wild life near the river and we will talk about how the silk industry started in the Cévennes.   Adult and children  will be wondering  entering in the "magnanerie" of the magic and poetry of the silkworms making theit cocoon !  From the egg to the butherfly you'll discover 5000 years history... We will explain the silk worm breeding and show you the amazing work of the caterpillars and then the cocoons.  We will finish off by a tasting of the farm products on the terrace.
