Le Salson is a typical cevenol hamlet with its stonebuilt houses and slatestone roofs in the heart of the Cevennes National Park. The surroudings are caracterised by numerous chestnuttrees and meadows. From our hillside (750 m) we have a great view over the cevennes valleys. Despite this altitude the climate is moderate and a mediteranean climate of the southern Cevennes. 

We receive you in a rural and authentic atmosphere. Breeding of sheep and pigs is our activity, but we also produce meats and sausages, jams, chestnutcream, syrups and fruitjuices. During your stay you can see from nearby life at the farm.

From our hamlet you can make numerous walks in the vast commune of St Frezal de Ventalon. By foot you can visit several hamlet surrounding Le Salson. In the lower part of the property there's an watermill. Bathing is possible in the water of the brook 'Gardon'.

In the surroundings you can discover by foot or by mountainbike or by canoe the heights of the Mont Lozère or the depths of the Gorges du Tarn. Or even visit one of the numerous museums about life in the Cevennes in the past. We propose you two possibilities to organise your stay.

You can stay in our chambres d'hote (guestrooms) or 
hire hamocks to sleep in the open air or inside (bathroom and toilet at your disposal). 
We propose you meals at our "'table d'hôte" (guesttable) with fresh own farmproducts. In the morning we serve breakfast (included for bed & breakfast clients). A shop with our products is at your disposal.
