The cottage LOU CHAUSSE  is  situated in the heart of the Cevennes at 650 m altitude, isolated, without being lost, in the calm and unforgettable scenery of the South Cevennes.The cottage, at the border of the Cevennes National Park  is comfortable, independent and available all year round for nature lovers.

This beautiful, calm spot with exceptional nice view permits you to enjoy the pleasures of a healthy life in the open, far away of hubbub and pollution.

This site "Lou Chausse" is an ideal place for astronoms and star-lovers because of the absence of light-pollution and provides an exceptional bright sky.
Here you can appreciate numerous hikes,  magnific landscapes and the friendly  cevenol nature.




Each season will bring you its delights, flowering landscapes with heather, broom and chestnuts,  protected wild life, gastronomic  and a lot of other pleasures; hiking, biking, picking mushrooms, doing nothing under the chestnut trees, eating outside, swimming, listening to the birds......

In Spring :
- Come hiking, wether to accompany the 
  "transhumance" following the 
  mountainpeaks (draille) or all over.
- Listen to the varatious birdssongs in the 
  middle of the reborning nature

In Summer :
 - Swimming in the river (nearby)
- Doing nothing at all, under the 
  chestnuttrees
- Hiking, mountainbiking
- For children hut in a chestnuttree
- Barbecue evenings

 In Autumn :
 - Come have a look at the flamboyant colors of the landscapes,, picking mushrooms, famous boletus or perfumed chanterelles.
- At the end of the day you might toast sweet chestnuts on the woodfire.
 


THE  COTTAGE

The well-equiped cottage for 5 persons with a surface
 of 80 m2 consists of :

The ground floor :
- a totally equiped kitchen with fridge, electric oven, 
  microwave and washing-machine
- a diningroom with big open fireplace and a single
   sofa-bed and T.V.
- w.c.
The first floor :
- 2 sleepingrooms (1 double bed 
  and  3 single beds)
- bathroom with bath
- w.c.

Outside:
- Terrace (50 m2) half sun half sheadow with 
   garden furniture and lounge-chairs.
- Panoramic view, barbecue and a childrens hut.

Per  week, Saturday afternoon till Saturday morning:

  • 400 € 30 March 2024 - 1st of June 2024

  • 530 € 06 July 2024 - 30 August 2024

  • 400 € per week, the other months
