Causses Cévennes

This very old race, originairy of Mongolie was extincted in wild life since1960.

Le domaine du Villaret' has re-introduced these horses at the Causse , another initiative of the Cevennes National Parc. Living in similar conditions as in wild-life

They flourish well in the numerous hectares of land. Their name is due to colonel Przewalski who discovered them in 1880 in Mongolia.

It is a little compact horse with light mane which fall out every year, remarkable is it's extra pair of chromosomes.top

In future they will go back to their natif ground in the Central Asien steppes
